THE PALMERAIE GOLF CLUB, MARRAKECH Morocco Vacations
When the international master Robert Trent Jones was presented with a perpetually limpid sky, the celebrated Palmeraie (Palm Grove) at Marrakech, the majestic Atlas mountains and a horizon dotted with white medians, he created an 18 hole masterpiece: the Palmeraie Golf Club.
He designed a
spacious valley, its broad form broken by thousands of palm trees and
embellished with seven lakes. Numerous sand hazards add the pearly
whiteness of the Atlantic beaches to this lush scene, with the ochre walls
and green tiles of the magnificent Moorish styled club house forming a
striking centre piece to the whole design.
