May 25, 2004:  New York / Casablanca:
Depart on an overnight Royal Air Maroc, non-stop flight, New York (JFK) to Casablanca Mohamed V airport. Dinner & breakfast will be served on board.

May 26: Casablanca / Rabat:
Upon our arrival at Casablanca airport at 7:10 am local time and after formalities, we will find Casablanca Travel and Tours professional hosts waiting to greet escort us for a brief visit to the gem city of Casablanca: "now the largest port of the Maghreb, busier even than Marseille. the city on which it was modeled by the French." Our visit will include the ancient central market, the Habous district, the fabulous Royal Palace, Mohamed V square, a residential area of Anfa and the unequalled Hassan II Mosque on the ocean. We'll dine on fresh seafood for lunch at the Corniche in An Diab on the coast. After lunch we will depart to the capital city of Rabat. There our visit begins in the Medina with the Kasbah of the Oudayas continues to the venerated Mohamed V Mausoleum, the Hassan Tower Mosque, and the ramparts, and walls of the Mechouar surrounding the Royal Palace. Dinner and overnight at your scheduled hotel.

May 27: Rabat/  Meknes / Volubilis / Fes:
 
After a relaxing breakfast, we'll depart to Meknes via Volubilis and Moulay Idris. This excursion embodies and educates to much of Morocco's early history. Volubilis was the Roman provincial capital, Moulay Idris played an important role in the creation of the country's first Arab dynasty. Then we continue on to Fez. Dinner and overnight at our scheduled hotel.

May 28, 2004

 After breakfast, the morning will be devoted to an adventurous and historical visit to the Medina of Fes, the most ancient marketplace of the imperial capitals, and the most complete medieval city of the Arab world. We'll view the spice quarter, the dyers quarter, and travel through the unique cobbled streets past shops from centuries passed. It's an experience to stimulate the senses- with haunting and beautiful sounds, infinite visual details, and unfiltered odors - and it seems to exist suspended in time somewhere between the Middle Ages and the modern times. Besides its electricity it owes absolutely nothing to  western  modernity. Optional lunch at the Medina and shopping in the afternoon. Dinner at the hotel. In the evening we'll attend the Festival Grand opening event.

May 29, 2004   :
Day at leisure and special requests for costumed excursions . evening concert. Dinner and over night at the hotel.   

 

May 30, 2004:  
 
In the morning we'll host an optional excursion to the venerated hot springs of Moulay Yacob, a 1-hour drive to a small, Berber village at the Rif mountains. (Use of Spa is optional). Return to Fes in the afternoon, evening concert. Dinner and over night at the hotel.

Day at leisure and special requests for custom itinerary.  Afternoon, and evening concert. Dinner and over night at the hotel.

 

June 01, 2004 Fes /Volubilis/Fes :
Morning at leisure and special requests afternoon excursion to Volubilis via Moulay Idris in Meknes. Lunch in a the holy city of Moulay Idriss. Then an afternoon concert at the Roman town and back to Fes. Dinner and over night at you hotel in Fes.

June 02,  Fes :
After breakfast, day at leisure, afternoon, and evening festival event. Dinner, and over night at the hotel.

 

June 03, 2004: Fez/Sefrou /B'Halil/ Fez: 
Morning at leisure or custom itinerary,  such an optional afternoon excursion to the ancient Jewish city of Sefrou.   Mausoleums and synagogues will be highlighted in this journey to amazing and authentic historical antiquity. We'll enjoy another interesting visit to the ancient Christian village of Bhallil,  then return to Fes for dinner then evening concert. Over night at your hotel in Fes. 

 

June 04, 2004:  
All morning at leisure,  afternoon concert, Dinner at the hotel, then evening concert. Over night at the hotel

June 05, 2004 :
After breakfast, a final morning visit to the Medina , and the last day for shopping. After noon concert, dinner at the hotel, then evening concert. Over night at your hotel.

 

June 6  to 08, 2004 special  excursion to Marrakech  

June 06, 2004  Fes/Beni Mellal/Marrakech (485 Km) :
Traveling to Marrakech, we will witness the breathtaking beauty of the Moroccan countryside that passes into the majestic backdrop of Marrakech: the snow-capped Atlas Mountains. En route to Marrakech, we will see the lake of Dait Aoua and Ifrane, a famous ski resort, as well as Azrou, a Berber village known for its handicraft cooperative filled with woodcarving and carpet weaving. Several stops are included. Lunch will be in Beni Mellal at around 1:30 PM. Arrival in Marrakech, check in at the Hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

June 07:  Marrakech :
One of the most famous Imperial Cities in Morocco, Marrakech is known as the "Pearl of the South", situated at the edge of the Sahara. Marrakech was historically a beautiful oasis and trading center. Founded in the 11th century during the reign of the Almoravids, it was the capital of a vast empire covering most of the Maghreb and a large part of Europe. More recently it was the favorite vacation spot of Winston Churchill and the Beatles. Around 8:00 AM breakfast at 9:00 AM, sightseeing. We will visit the famous Saadian Tombs, the Koutoubia, the Bahia, Djemaa el Fna Square, and souks for shopping. In the evening a special Moroccan dinner party followed by folkloric dancing and a colorful Fantasia show before we return to our hotel overnight.

June 08 Marrakech/ Airport :  After breakfast, we will transfer to the airport for our return flight to JFK with memories to last a lifetime

 

 

June 08- 11, 2004 special excursion to Essaouira and Casablanca:  

June 17: MARRAKECH/ ESSAOUIRA:
 Depart to Essaouira (Mogador). Apart from the immediate impact of sea air and the friendly animation of the town, the predominant images of Essaouira are of the Atlantic -of the rugged coast and offshore islands, the vast expense of empty sands trailing back along the promontory to the south, and the almost gothic scenery of the 18th century forts. Lunch at Chalet de la Mer. Free afternoon for walking on the beach or relaxing in town. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.

June 18, ESSAOUIRA/EL JADIDA/CASABLANCA: After breakfast we'll departure to Casablanca via El Jadida and stop at El Oualidia to enjoy a fabulous seafood lunch. We'll travel along the

coastline to El Jadida and visit the citadel there, a vestige of the Portuguese occupation during the 11th century. Dinner and overnight at our hotel in Casablanca.

June 19: CASABLANCA/AIRPORT MOHAMMED V: Morning departure to Mohammed V Airport with a memories to last a lifetime.
