Hassan,

We just wanted to let you know about our trip to Morocco. We saw lots of the country, learned a lot, and had a great time. We were quite tired from the long drives but it was worth it since we got to see the varied terrain, weather, and people of Morocco.

Mustapha was absolutely wonderful (funny too). Not only did he drive 2500 KM, he was our guide, concierge, doctor, banker, and film developer. He even had a Berber omlette made especially for us for lunch one day (it was delicious). Even though he thought we were somewhat quiet, we feel we learned a lot from talking with him. He was worried that we didn't have a good time because we were not as talkative as most of his clients, but that's just the way we are. We can tell you that we did have a good time.

"Chak" was also great. Beside keeping us from getting lost in the medina of Fes, he told us so much about the culture that we would never have learned otherwise. He was always singing Elvis Presley songs and referring to the lyrics to explain something in the medina so we started calling him "Elvis". He seems to know everyone in Fes and about every 10 minutes he would meet someone else that he knew.

The hotels were generally very good. We especially liked the Riad al Medina in Essaoiura, the building was beautiful and being right in the medina was special. We also liked the Les Almohades in Casablanca -- small, comfortable, and the food was good.

We will remember all the sights and sounds that we experienced in Morocco for a long time. If you want to put us on your list for future clients to contact, please feel free to do so.
